Ho Chi Minh city’s field hospital for fighting the acute respiratory disease caused by novel corona virus (nCoV) was put into operation on February 10th.
The 300-bed field hospital is responsible for receiving, isolating, treating and inspecting nCoV-infected patients transferred from districts.
There are currently 47 hospitals in the city that have rooms for receiving and treating nCoV-infected patients. Meanwhile, the city Department of Health will continue to encourage private hospitals to allocate isolated space for receiving and treating the patients.
A group of doctors from the city Hospital for Tropical Diseases and Cu Chi District Hospital are in charge of the professional operation of the field hospital.
Six buildings of the military training school are turned into part of the field hospital.
