Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thi - Head of High-Tech Park Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City spoke at the Course Opening Ceremony. |
Upon completion of the program, lecturers can develop a practical IC design curriculum to convey to students at the School.
On the morning of November 20, the Electronics and Semiconductor Center (abbreviated as ESC) coordinated with Cadence Company to open the training course "Analog design - Custom IC training" for lecturers at university using Cadence's tools and solutions in analog IC design.
This is an activity to implement the contents of the signed cooperation agreement between the Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park Management Board and Cadence - one of the world's leading companies providing comprehensive tools, solutions related to design automation in the field of electronics and semiconductor circuits to promote human resource development activities for the field of semiconductor circuit design (signed in May 2023). ESC launched on September 6, 2023 on the basis of a pilot cooperation between the High-Tech Park Training Center and Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company, which is the unit assigned to be the focal point for implementing the content of signed cooperation.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thi - Head of the High-Tech Park Management Board, the implementation of this training course is extremely timely, contributing to improving the training capacity of schools, serving the goal of expanding and opening new fields of semiconductor circuits in schools, especially in the field of analog circuit design (Analog design), which has not met the huge demand for human resources in the present and the future.
Expressing his joy at participating in the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Dang Luong Mo - senior advisor of Ho Chi Minh City National University, a pioneering scientist in the development of microchip technology in Vietnam, shared that he had been involved in researching the use of AI in IC design 30 years ago. He hopes that lecturers participating in this training course will be more interested in continuing to research and apply AI in IC design to meet practical development requirements.

Participants practice directly on computers using Cadence's circuit design software solutions and tools. |
The training course "Analog design - Custom IC training" brings together 30 lecturers from universities and training facilities, including Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, Saigon University , Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology campus in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho University, Hue University, Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, University of Natural Sciences and lecturers and collaborators of the High-Tech Park Training Center.
The highlight of the program is that lecturers have access to Cadence's entire library and teaching materials. Upon completion of the program, lecturers can build a practical IC design curriculum to convey to students at their schools - this is the biggest expectation in the agreement's goal of cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park Management Board and Cadence, contributing to training Vietnamese human resources in the field of IC design, meeting the development requirements of the electronics and semiconductor IC industry in the future.
In the coming time, ESC will continue to cooperate with Cadence to implement IC design training programs related to digital and analog IC design for lecturers and students of universities.
Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park Training Center is one of four public service units under the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park Management Board, established with the mission of training, developing and providing qualified human resources to serve high-tech activities in an adaptive and diverse manner in content and form, suitable to practical needs, approaching regional and international levels. Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company is a professional training organization in the field of electronics and semiconductor circuits with the mission of shortening the skills gap between universities and businesses, specializing in providing professional training courses in the field of electronics and semiconductor circuits for businesses./.
