Disadvantaged Khmer people in Kien Giang province presented 500 gifts on Chol Chnam Thmay festival

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province, in collaboration with the Vietnam - Cambodia Business Association and Loc Troi Group, on April 8 presented gifts to disadvantaged Khmer people in Chau Thanh district on the occasion of traditional Chol Chnam Thmay festival 2024.

Each gift, worth 500,000 VND, includes 10kg of rice and 300,000 VND in cash.

Mr. Huynh Van Thon, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Loc Troi Group, sent warm regards and happy New Year wishes to Buddhists, monks and Khmer people.

On this occasion, Ms. Le Thi Ve, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province, expressed her wish that Buddhists, monks and Khmer people in the province continue promoting the spirit of solidarity and hard work to improve their material and spiritual life; and actively participate in emulation movements to build an increasingly rich and beautiful locality.

She expressed her hope that the Vietnam - Cambodia Business Association and Loc Troi Group would continue to work together with local authorities to take good care of and support people in difficult circumstances, especially Khmer people./.
