According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Hanoi Confederation of Labor will hold a "Tet Union Market" event on January 11-12, 2025, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Culture Palace.

The event will feature around 100 booths providing essential goods to union members and workers at prices reduced by at least 10%.

To support workers facing financial difficulties, the Hanoi Confederation of Labor plans to distribute 5,800 shopping vouchers worth VND500,000 each, enabling them to shop at these booths.

Additionally, four “Zero-Cost” booths will be set up at the event, offering 5,000 free gift packages valued at VND300,000 each. Furthermore, 6,200 shopping vouchers worth VND500,000 each will be distributed to assist union members and workers in purchasing goods at designated points of sale.

As in previous years, the event will include cultural exchanges, musical performances, and traditional folk games to create a festive and cheerful atmosphere for workers in the capital.

Alongside the main event at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Culture Palace, the Hanoi Confederation of Labor has instructed grassroots unions to organize similar "Tet Union Market" programs tailored to the specific circumstances of local businesses and communities. They are also tasked with working with relevant authorities to monitor wage and bonus payments for workers.

Timely measures will be implemented to protect the rights of workers employed by businesses struggling with financial issues, such as unpaid wages, inability to provide bonuses, or bankruptcy.

In addition to the "Tet Union Market," the Hanoi Confederation of Labor will organize the “Warm Tet - Spring of the Party” program at local levels. These activities will be carried out with cost-efficiency and safety, aiming to attract widespread participation among workers./.
