Korean Startup Center launched in Vietnam

The Korean Startup Center (K-Startup Center) has just opened in Cong Vi ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, the fourth K-Startup Center in the world.

According to Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Hong Thai, the K-Startup Center operating in Vietnam is an important step forward in science, technology and innovation cooperation between the two countries.

Vice Chairman of the RoK’s Small and Medium Enterprise Support Agency Woo Young Hwan said that the establishment of K-Startup Center in Vietnam is expected to promote Vietnamese and Korean startups to develop together and move further into the world market.

Meanwhile, Director of K-Startup Center Martin Kim said that K-Startup Center Hanoi will deploy basic programs such as: Soft Landing, and Commercialization Program. However, more importantly, K-Startup Center Hanoi will plan many different cooperation programs with partners and experts in the Vietnamese startup ecosystem.

On this occasion, RoK’s Small- and Medium-sized Enterprise Support Agency and the Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises under the Ministry of Science and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding on startup cooperation; the RoK - Vietnam Startup Alliance was launched with the participation of investment funds and large organizations and businesses operating in startups from the two countries./.
