Lao language training course for 21 officials of Dien Bien province opens

The training course is within the framework of the project on training cooperation between Dien Bien province and Northern Lao provinces for the 2021 – 2025 period, with orientation to 2030.

It will continue for six months from April 1, 2024, at the Center for Foreign Languages - Information Technology under the Provincial Department of Education and Training, and include a trip to the Northern Lao provinces.

The training course aims to help officials, civil servants and public employees of Dien Bien province, especially those working in the border areas, to be able to listen, speak, read, and write Lao language; serve as a basis for consulting Party Committees, local authorities and functional agencies to well carry out the foreign affairs work of the Party and State. Thereby, it helps to build a relationship of solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos, maintaining political security, social order and safety, building a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.

Previously, in December 2022, the Dien Bien Provincial People's Council issued Resolution No. 128/NQ-HDND approving the training cooperation project between Dien Bien province and Northern Lao provinces for the 2021-2025 period and an orientation to 2030./.
