Speaking at the ceremony, Head of the Consular Department Doan Hoang Minh congratulated Mr. Markus Kircher on being appointed Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Graz, Republic of Austria. He believed that with his experience, Mr. Markus Kircher would effectively support the Vietnamese Embassy in Austria in consular work, citizen protection, as well as contribute to promoting activities taking place within the framework of economic, trade cooperation and many other fields of mutual interest.
The Head of the Consular Department emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Consular Department, as well as Vietnamese authorities would always support and create conditions for Mr. Markus Kircher and the Honorary Consulate to carry out consular work and Vietnamese citizen protection in Austria, as well as consular cooperation activities between the two countries.
Mr. Markus Kircher expressed his pleasure to see that the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Austria have become increasingly better in many fields in recent times, and pledged that in his position as Honorary Consul, he will carry out citizen protection well, support the Vietnamese community in Austria, and strengthen connections between Vietnamese and Austrian businesses, continuing to contribute to promoting economic, trade, investment, culture, and tourism cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.
Mr. Markus Kircher, born on May 4, 1980 in Klagenfurt city, Kaernten state, Austria, is a reputable businessman and has deep affection for Vietnam. For nearly 10 years, he has actively supported the Vietnam and Austria Business Forums on the occasion of visits by senior leaders, helped organize many events connecting localities of the two countries, and provided legal advice on dispute resolution cases or learning about local businesses.
Steiermark and Kaernten states are two large states of Austria and have great potential for cooperation and investment with Vietnam in many fields. Currently, many large enterprises in Steiermark state have successfully cooperated with Vietnam in the fields of energy and industry./.
