Accordingly, more than 23,400 workers have registered for the exam to select potential candidates to work in the RoK under the first phase of the program, doubling the set target of over 12,000 entries.

The EPS exam is scheduled to take place from May 8 to June 10 in Hanoi and May 9 to June 10 in Da Nang.

The Vietnam Centre for Overseas Labour is expected to instruct local candidates to take the computer-based Korean language test, and those who pass the exam will move on to the skill test later.

The Human Resource Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea) will directly compile the exam questions and arrange for proctors at exam rooms to prevent cheating. The test is to be automatically graded by the computer.

Since 1992, over 120,000 Vietnamese workers have come to work in the RoK, 90% of them are working under the EPS scheme, with an average income of between US$1,400 and US$1,800 per month.

In 2022, the EPS Program recruited nearly 2,800 migrant workers, including 1,500 operating in manufacturing, 855 in agriculture, and 422 in fishing./.
