The program, titled "Aspiration - Pioneering," was organized by the Party Central Committee Commission on Popularization and Education in Ho Chi Minh City. It was attended by Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Party Central Committee Commission on Popularization and Education.

During the event, 17 individuals and 12 outstanding models were honored. These included officials, Party members, soldiers, doctors, intellectuals, workers, farmers, religious dignitaries and ethnic minorities from southern localities.

The program shared inspiring stories of overcoming adversity, creativity and contributions to the community. One such example was Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Van (76 years old), leader of the "Compassionate Women" group in Ben Tre City. Over the past 10 years, Ms. Van and her team have sewn more than 700 blankets and 18 quilts featuring the map of Vietnam to send to soldiers stationed on the islands. They have also helped build charity houses and provided gifts to policy families and disadvantaged children.

In addition to Ms. Van, the program honored Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Huong, a lecturer at the International University, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City. Ms. Huong founded the Brain Health Lab, an advanced academic environment that enables students to engage in research. Her efforts have led students to win numerous national and international scientific awards, making a valuable contribution to the development of science and education in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that the individuals honored were those who dared to face challenges and took decisive actions to spread positive values in society. He expressed hope that officials and Party members would continue to be pioneers, role models, and creative leaders, guiding the community through difficulties and contributing to the sustainable development of the country.

"The 'Aspiration - Pioneering' program is not only an opportunity to honor these shining examples but also a chance to spread the spirit of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style to all walks of life, helping to build a better society," said Mr. Nghia./.
