The new APA President Dr. Roland Busch highly appreciates the role of global cooperation in addressing the current challenges facing the development of the world economy.

Busch said countries need to unite in finding solutions to climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic consequences as well as other geopolitical issues. Every country in the Asia-Pacific region offers great opportunities for cooperation for the German economy.

As chairman of the APA, Busch hopes to promote and reinforce the economic cooperation between German and regional enterprises.

APA acts as a bridge- builder between the economic and political concerns of German businesses active in the Asia-Pacific region, politics in Germany and in the Asian partner countries.

APA represents the German government and the economic interests of German businesses in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as supporting the promotion of bilateral and multilateral investment trade.

APA is a joint initiative and umbrella organization of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), the German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV), the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA) and the Association of German Banks (Bankenverband)./.
