Hanoi city Department of Culture and Sports will organize various activities to mark the 71st anniversary of National Independence Day (September 2nd) and the 62nd anniversary of the Capital Liberation (October 10th).
Accordingly, art performances will take place at the Cach Mang Thang Tam (August Revolution) Square, Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Son Tay town, in front of My Dinh National Stadium and several places around the city, as well as in industrial zones on September 2nd, 2016. The Hanoi Open Bicycle 2016 race will be held on August 28th, 2016, around Hoan Kiem lake.

To celebrate the Capital Liberation Day, there will be a music festival themed Hanoi autumn at Thang Long Royal Citadel with several stages from October 5th to 10th; an art and fashion show at The Huc bridge and Ngoc Son temple gate on October 10th.
On October 9th, the 43rd Open HanoiMoi Newspaper Run for Peace will take around Hoan Kiem lake. A festival for elder’s health will be held from October 1st to 4th at Trinh Hoai Duc sporting event hall and Ly Thai To statue flower garden.
The Hanoi city Department of Culture and Sports will organize Hanoi singing contest 2016 and the 2nd Capital stage festival on this occasion./.
