Russian folk dance ensemble to be performed at Hue Festival 2018

According to Hue Festival Centre, the Siberian Patterns folk dance ensemble from Russia has registered to perform in the Hue Festival 2018, which is scheduled to take place in the central province of Thua Thien - Hue from April 27th to May 2nd.

The ensemble was founded in 1995 by Irina Ovechkina, a Laureate of the Government’s Award of the Russian Federation. The repertoire includes many folk dances from many regions of Russia.
The festival will also feature performances of the Berywam beatbox band and the Lysistrata rock band from France, and the Urpin Folk Ensemble from Slovakia.
Titled “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development: Hue - one destination, five World Heritages”, the event will promote Vietnam’s culture and arts through UNESCO-recognised heritage such as the Complex of Hue Monuments, royal court music, wood-blocks and the imperial archives of the Nguyen Dynasty./.
