As many of 154 works selected from a national art photo contest on Vietnamese seas and islands are on display at an exhibition which opened in Ho Chi Minh city on April 25.

They included 22 winning photos are introduced at the event to popularise the beauty of Vietnam, its nature and people to the public.
The exhibition aims to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30) and the 138th anniversary of International Workers' Day (May 1) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on April 25.
Other exhibitions are taking place at three locations in the city, including Nguyen Hue street, Nguyen Du – Dong Khoi street, and opposite to Chi Lang park.
On Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, 80 photos featuring the Great 1975 Spring Victory and the city’s subsequent transformation into a national economic, cultural, education-training, sci-tech hub are on display.
On Nguyen Du – Dong Khoi street, 70 photos depicting the movement of Saigon - Gia Dinh – Cho Lon workers during the resistance war against the US are being exhibited.
Opposite to Chi Lang Park, 50 photos on the construction and development of the city, highlighting its enduring traditions of compassion and solidarity are on display .
The events will run until May 2./.
