Vietnam, India promote cooperation on press and broadcasting

Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan has met Indian Minister of Information and Broadcasting Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed on the need to intensify the two countries’ cooperation in press and broadcasting

Minister Tuan said that India has developed in the fields of press, publishing and broadcasting. He added that the two countries hold much potential for cooperation in these fields.

He proposed several cooperative measures, including the sharing of experience in press, publishing and broadcasting management, support in applying information technology in this sphere, and the exchange of external information products, such as broadcast media programmes and images, to strengthen mutual understanding between the two peoples.

Meanwhile, Minister Naidu expressed his pleasure at the development of press, radio and television in Vietnam and talked about the development of press, radio and television in India over the past time.

He showed his hope that the two sides would intensify delegation exchanges, boost collaboration between their press agencies and encourage film-making in each country.

Both of them agreed to promote journalism training, hold more seminars in this field, and screen each other’s famous films./.
