Vietnam Expo 2018 attracts 500 companies

(CPV) - The 28th Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo 2018), themed “Enhancing regional and global economic links” is being held from April 11th-14th, at International Exhibition Center, Hanoi.

The event attracted the participation of more than 550 booths of nearly 500 enterprises from 21 Vietnam’s provinces and cities, and 23 countries and territories, such as Russia, Korea, China, Nepal, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Cuba, Laos, Cambodia, China’s Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Products exhibited at the fair focused on commodity groups such as machinery and equipment, construction and building materials, electricity, electronics and information technology, food and beverages, household appliances, health care products and services.

The bilateral economic cooperation between Vietnam and Russia was in the spotlight in 2017, and the two sides have agreed to accelerate the implementation of the free trade agreement between Vietnam and Europe - Asian Economic Union through bilateral trade, which is expected to reach USD20 billion by 2020.

The participation of Russian companies as guests at Vietnam Expo is expected to bring effective trade promotion opportunities for the two sides.

On a 520m2 area, Russian companies will present their major products such as mechanical processing, precision mechanics, automation equipment, industrial biotechnology, and hi-tech electronics.

Together with the exhibition, product introduction and trade, the fair will include sideline activities such as seminars and visits to industrial zones./.
