Director of the Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh city, noted that the university’s 60,000-accommodation hostel can be used as isolation sick-beds in emergency cases.

Chairman Phong asked the city Health Department to prepare an additional 1,500 isolation sick-beds, and suggested the establishment of a national isolation center to support localities that cannot receive and isolate labourers returning from infected areas of the world.

He also requested the department to ensure safety for doctors and health workers participating in preventing the disease, determining to protect them from the disease./.
