71st anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army marked abroad

Various activities to mark the 71st anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) have been organized abroad.

The Vietnamese Veterans Association in the Czech Republic on December 22nd marked the 71st anniversary of the VPA (December 22nd, 1944- December 22nd, 2015) and reviewed one year of operation.

Duong Dinh Tuy, Chairman of the Vietnamese Veterans Association in the Czech Republic, reviewed the glorious history of the VPA in the resistance wars, as well as building the country.

Colonel Nguyen Van Chung, Vietnamese Military Attaché in the Czech Republic, said the Vietnamese Veterans Association in the country had been founded for one year and has organized a lot of useful activities, especially the gratitude payment activity.

The Vietnamese Veterans Association in the Czech Republic now has 450 members.

* On December 22nd, a celebration was also held by Office of Vietnamese Military Attaché in Russia.

At the event, Colonel Nguyen Van Hai, Vietnamese Military Attaché, confirmed that at present, the VPA is the core force of the people's war to defend the country as well as the all-people’s national defence, the solid and truthful support of the Party and the State, as well as an important force in emergency rescue and disaster and natural calamity settlement.

He also confirmed that the Russian Federation is the important and truthful partner in the defence cooperation with Vietnam, and that the cooperation between the two countries is developing well, and is the highlight in comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

After the celebration, the delegates enjoyed Vietnamese cuisine and sang songs praising the VPA./.
