Speaking at the event, Envoy Lai Ngoc Doan sent best wishes to the leaders of the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute and students on the occasion of Tet of Vietnam and thanked the institute for creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese students to organize such a significant event.

At the program, Director of the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute Vitaly Grigorevich Kostomarov highly appreciated the traditional relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

He said that at present the number of Vietnamese students learning Russian language is much smaller than before, however the more than 100 students studying at the institute are those who will preserve and foster the friendship between the two countries in the future.

The director hoped that in the coming time, there will be more and more Vietnamese people who know Russian language and vice versa.

On this occasion, Mr. Vitaly wished Vietnamese people, especially Vietnamese students studying Russian language, to gain good results in study and success in life.

In the framework of the program, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at the institute also introduced a Vietnamese folk photo exhibition and art program to welcome the new spring and cuisine exchange.

Foreign students in Moscow were eager to enjoy specific cultural features of Vietnam’s Tet through dances, songs, folk games and traditional dishes.

The event not only helped overseas Vietnamese students in Moscow lessen their nostalgia on Tet, but also introduced Vietnam’s traditional cultural features to international friends./.
