Ho Chi Minh Museum inaugurated in Thailand

The inauguration ceremony was recently organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, the Ministry of Sports and Tourism and Phichit province of Thailand.

This is the third historical relic about President Ho Chi Minh in Thailand, after relics in Udon Thani and Nakhon Phhanom provinces.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Hai Bang said that during the time of his revolutionary activities in Thailand from July 1928 to late 1929, President Ho Chi Minh mobilized overseas Vietnamese to strengthen solidarity and support each other, actively study Vietnamese and Thai languages, boost solidarity with local people, respect the local habits, customs and law so that Thai people understood and were in sympathy with Vietnamese revolutionary.

He believed that the Museum will become an attractive destination in Phichit in particular and in Thailand in general.

Minister of Sports and Tourism Weerasak Kowsurat and Governor of Phichit province Weerasak Wichitsaengsri affirmed that Phichit was one of the first stops of President Ho Chi Minh during his stay in Thailand. To commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, the government of Thailand built the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and this work will contribute to further strengthening the friendly relationship between the two nations.

Ho Chi Minh Museum, along with a President Ho Chi Minh relic area, is located on the campus of the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Centre in Phichit province, started construction in December 2013 with investment of more than THB30 million, which is funded completely by the Thai government./.
