New Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland meets overseas Vietnamese

At the meeting, Ambassador Vu Dang Dung said that on April 7^th, he presented his credentials to the Polish President. During the talks after the credentials presentation ceremony, Polish President Andrej Duda applauded the overseas Vietnamese community in Poland for their industriousness and hard-work, always complying with the local laws and serving as a bridge to boost trade and multi-faced relations between Poland and Vietnam.

The Ambassador also reviewed the main features of the current world situation and the friendly relationship between Poland and Vietnam. He highly appreciated the activities of overseas Vietnamese organizations and associations, and pointed out some areas that needed to be improved so that the overseas Vietnamese could integrate more deeply into the local society.

In addition, the Ambassador also asked the overseas Vietnamese to nurture young generations, preserving Vietnamese cultural traditions, especially preserving Vietnamese language in the second and third generations.

Representatives of organizations and associations attending the meeting warmly congratulated the new ambassador to Poland. They hoped Ambassador Vũ Đang Đứng will contribute to bringing a new breath into activities of the community, so that the overseas Vietnamese become more connected with each other and with the homeland.

Ambassador Vu Dang Dung has worked in various diplomatic missions, including as the Head of Vietnam’s Permanent Mission to ASEAN. On July 4^th, 2016,

President Tran Dai Quang appointed Ambassador Vu Dang Dung as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Poland and Lithuania for the term of 2016-2019./.
