The Ambassador emphasized the importance of establishing overseas Vietnamese associations in localities throughout Japan. This is also an indispensable requirement because of the rapid increase in the number of Vietnamese people in Japan in recent years.

Mr. Nam hoped that the association would always raise the spirit of solidarity and mutual support in daily life, strengthen exchanges and send local people a beautiful image of the country and people of Vietnam.

While Mr Nguyen Quang Linh affirmed that the association would boost the dissemination of legal and policy information of the two countries of Vietnam and Japan. In addition, the association would also provide legal support for the Vietnamese community in the locality, helping overseas Vietnamese people easily adapt and stabilize their lives in Japan.

Moreover, the association will promote cultural exchanges and organize Vietnamese cultural festivals, so that the community is always looking towards the homeland, as well as call upon investment and cooperation from Japanese companies./.
