The Vietnamese Embassy and the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Angola recently organized an event for the Vietnamese community to welcome the New Year 2019.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Angola Nguyen Manh Cuong sent best wishes to all members of the Vietnamese community in Angola on the occasion of the New Year 2019.
He noted achievements on outstanding socio-economic development, diplomacy and international integration of Vietnam in 2018, as well as efforts that Vietnam and Angola are implementing to boost and expand cooperation between the two countries.
Ending his working term in Angola, Ambassador Nguyen Manh Cuong thanked the Overseas Vietnamese Association and all overseas Vietnamese people in the country for their contribution to support him to complete his task.
He also called on experts, businessmen and all overseas Vietnamese people to further promote the spirit of solidarity and cooperation to support each other to overcome difficulties.
The ambassador affirmed that the Party and State always consider the overseas Vietnamese community as an integral part of the Vietnamese people, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola has always made efforts to implement the policy for overseas Vietnamese well.
At the event, Ms. Dao Lan Huong, Standing Deputy Head of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Angola, congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Manh Cuong for having a successful working term in Angola. She also reviewed outstanding activities of association in 2018 and stressed the contributions of the Vietnamese community to the host country, the homeland and to support each other in daily life. In addition, the Standing Deputy Head also announced programs and plans of the association in 2019.
The event was an opportunity for the overseas Vietnamese in Angola to meet, share and enjoy traditional dishes of the nation./.
