The Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia recently organized an event to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Pig 2019 for overseas Vietnamese living and working in Saudi Arabia.

The event was held on the campus of the Embassy in the capital Riyadh with the presence of nearly 500 people.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Vu Viet Dung informed Vietnam’s outstanding successes in 2018 and encouraged the overseas Vietnamese to promote the spirit of self-reliance, overcoming difficulties, solidarity and mutual support, as well as strictly adhere to Saudi Arabia's law.
He also asked that representatives of labour companies find out specific information when workers face difficulties to timely inform the embassy to address any issues.
The Ambassador emphasized that the embassy will do its best to ensure that overseas Vietnamese always receive proper protection and support in accordance with Vietnam’s regulations.
During the event, the participants enjoyed an art program performed by representatives of labor export companies and workers.
Some local friends and foreigners working in Saudi Arabia also attended the event, and they expressed their interest before the joyful, warm, brilliant decoration and atmosphere as well as the performance and traditional dishes of Vietnam on the Lunar New Year Festival./.
