Lotus ponds - Tourism and culture highlight in Uncle Ho’s hometown

Six hectares of ponds in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province, Uncle Ho’s hometown, have been upgraded to grow lotus, creating a highlight in culture and tourism in the great President’s hometown.

This is part of the project to develop the district into a model new-style rural area in term 2018-2025, in which new agricultural products will be created, thus increasing farmers’ income.

Uncultivated ponds and lakes are upgraded into lotus production area, helping farmers improve their earnings.
Lotus is a symbol of local residents’ affection for Uncle Ho.
Tourists record beautiful moments with Uncle Ho’s hometown’s lotus.
Fifty varieties of lotus are preserved on an area of 30 hectares.
