Ho Chi Minh city: A place of sentiment

Ho Chi Minh city is not only the country’s economic hub, but also a destination for talented people to live and do business.

Over 40 years after national reunification, Ho Chi Minh city has also led the country in pervading sentiment, from daily voluntary activities to national level humanitarian programs.

A walk to raise funds for Agent Orange victims and poor disabled people, organized by the city Red Cross, attracted over 7,000 participants.

Volunteer Tran Hoang assists a sight-impaired elderly man cross the road safely.

The very elderly are cared for by monks and Buddhist followers at Lam Quang Pagoda in district 8.

A wedding ceremony is held for 100 couples of disabled people and disadvantaged workers.

The city’s residents donate to assist natural disaster-affected people in the northwest.

An iced tea pot provides free water to those who are in need.
