According to MOLISA, the number of Vietnamese laborers going abroad to work saw a year-on-year increase of nearly 20% in the first quarter.

Many localities, including Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh city and Hanoi, carried out diverse policies attracting investment in production, in order to create more jobs for laborers.

Solutions were also worked out to attract more laborers to work after Tet - the time when labourer shortage is often reported.

In terms of labor export, the labour sector continued to realize solutions to maintain and develop foreign markets, and re-sign a memorandum of understanding on sending and receiving Vietnamese laborers to the Republic of Korea.

It will continue to arrange laborers for accelerating corporate equitization; work with relevant agencies to promptly deal with trade disputes and reduce labour strikes; and develop the number of labourers participating in social and unemployment insurance./.
