The Adaptation Futures 2018 themed “Dialogues for Solutions” is hoped to attract 1000 scientists, policy-makers, business people, and international funders from over 80 countries.

At the event, the representatives will share their latest climate adaptation research, discuss how cities, countries and communities can best adapt to climate change, and forge new policies and partnerships.

The biennial Adaptation Futures conference also brings together diverse actors working in climate adaptation to learn from and stimulate each other in what they do and how they do it: academic and applied researchers.

This is the first time in its ten-year history that Adaptation Futures will be taking place in Africa.

The African Climate and Development Initiative (ACDI) is the main conference organizer./.
