Politburo works with centrally-governed Party Committees on Party Congresses

Politburo members on August 24-29 worked in groups with 12 centrally-governed Party Committees to contribute their ideas to the draft political reports and personnel work before they organise their term 2020-2025 Party Congresses.

Group 1 led by Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Politburo member and Prime Minister, worked with the Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang and Ha Nam provincial Party Committees.

Group 2 chaired by Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Politburo member and Chairwoman of the National Assembly, worked with the Ha Tinh, Hoa Binh, Bac Ninh and Lai Chau provincial Party Committees.

Group 3 led by Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, worked with Ninh Binh, Long An, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and An Giang provincial Party Committees.

Their contributions to the draft political reports focused mainly on the Party Committees’ orientations, targets and big solutions in the next 5 years.

To the draft political report reviewing the leadership of the Party Executive Committees, Politburo members contributed ideas on the seriousness and combativeness in criticism and self-criticism, method of leadership, and good experience and new things in leadership.

They also talked about the preparations of pesonnel work for the next term, the quantities of Executive and Standing Boards, the criteria for positions, especially in terms of age, female and re-elected persons.

Based on the Politburo members’ conclusions, centrally-governed Party Committees will continue to complete their draft political reports and personnel plans to organise successfully the Party Congresses term 2020-2025.

As of August 29, the Politburo worked with 27 of 67 centrally-governed Party Committees./.
