Bac Ninh lures 92 new FDI projects in first half

The northern province of Bac Ninh licensed 92 new foreign-funded projects worth USD206.58 million in the first six months of 2018, a year-on-year rise of 3.29%.

The locality also permitted 45 ongoing FDI projects to increase USD211.11 million to their capital.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xuan, Head of the provincial Department of Planning and Investment said the results to the province’s efforts in building a favorable business climate, which has supported investors in research, technology transfer, and land clearance.

In addition, Bac Ninh offered conditions for investors to coordinate with universities and vocational centers to meet their demand of human resources.

He added the province has organized three dialogues between authorities and enterprises during the period to help clear obstacles hindering their business.

By the end of June, Bac Ninh had granted licenses to 1,228 FDI projects, capitalized with about USD16.66 billion. Of this, USD15.5 billion were poured into 836 projects in local industrial parks./.
