Bac Ninh cares for promoting economic and cultural cooperation with Japanese partners

On July 4, Chairwoman of Bac Ninh People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang welcomed a delegation of Japanese parliamentarians and businesspeople led by House Representative Yamamoto Gousei, Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance of the Restoration Party; Mr. Sakai Hironori, Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association; and representatives of Vietnamese community associations in the Kansai region (Japan) to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in Bac Ninh.

Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang expressed her pleasure in welcoming the delegation to Bac Ninh, highlighting the longstanding and close cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan over the past 50 years. She emphasized that Bac Ninh, at the local level, always prioritizes strengthening economic cooperation, investment promotion and cultural exchanges with Japanese partners.
In terms of investment cooperation, Bac Ninh currently hosts approximately 2,350 projects from 41 countries and territories. Among them, Japan has 106 active projects with a total registered capital of over USD1.68 billion, primarily in the production of electronic components and mechanical engineering. Japanese enterprises have made significant contributions to the overall socio-economic development of the province.
Recognizing Japan's strengths in high technology, which Bac Ninh is keen to attract, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang expressed her hope that the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, and the Vietnamese community in Kansai will continue to connect and provide information about Bac Ninh's investment environment to Japanese businesses. She also emphasized the importance of cultural exchange activities, such as promoting Quan ho folk singing, Dong Ho folk paintings and other cultural forms of Bac Ninh to the Japanese people, thereby fostering sustainable friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
House Representative Yamamoto Gousei thanked the leaders of Bac Ninh for their warm reception and praised the province's potential and efforts. He expressed his hope that Bac Ninh will continue to facilitate and organize more exchange and cooperation activities across various fields, further strengthening the friendship between Japan and Vietnam.
