Bac Ninh increases cooperation with Poland

Chairwoman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huong Giang expressed her hope that the Poland-Vietnam Friendship Association would actively promote the image and people of Bac Ninh in Poland, and connect Polish businesses and Bac Ninh, thereby strengthening the relationship between the two countries Poland-Vietnam in general and Poland with Bac Ninh in particular.

She made the statement while receiving the Poland – Vietnam Association and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organization, led by Mr. Tadeusz Iwinski, Chairman of the Polish-Vietnamese Friendship Association “Future”.

Welcoming the delegation, Ms Giang introduced to the delegation members the geographical location, history, culture and socio-economic development situation of the province, emphasizing that in the past years, Bac Ninh has constantly strived for economic development with many indicators among the top of the country in terms of export value, value of the industry production and FDI attraction. So far, Bac Ninh has 16 approved industrial zones, of which 10 have come into operation, attracting many large corporations and enterprises from many countries.

She added that Bac Ninh had 4 intangible cultural heritages registered by UNESCO. The province has submitted and is campaigning for the Dong Ho folk painting profession to be recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection of humanity.

Sincerely thanking the provincial leader for the warm welcome, Mr. Tadeusz Iwinski said he was impressed by the historical, cultural values and achievements in socio-economic development of Bac Ninh; affirming that this was the basis and favorable condition for him to connect Polish businesses to invest and cooperate with Bac Ninh./.
