Bac Ninh leaders seek cooperation opportunities in Europe

From May 2 to 13, a delegation of Bac Ninh province led by Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang is visiting and working in the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal.

On May 2 (local time), the delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands. Ambassador Pham Viet Anh received and worked with the delegation.
During the meeting, Ms. Giang gave an overview of the socio-economic development situation of Bac Ninh province as well as the working plan of the delegation during the time in the Netherlands. She suggested the embassy connect and support the delegation to have investment promotion programs with Dutch enterprises investing in Bac Ninh province; and promote and mobilize the international community to support the craft of making Dong Ho folk paintings recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent protection.
Ambassador Pham Viet Anh fully agreed with the proposals of the delegation, affirming that the business trip led by Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang would create an important foundation and open up many opportunities for investment cooperation between Bac Ninh province and leading Dutch enterprises. The Ambassador shared with the delegation the strengths of the Netherlands in shipping, air transport, logistics, high-tech agriculture and renewable energy.
On this occasion, the delegation of Bac Ninh province respectfully offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and visited the embassy campus.
On the same day, the delegation visited International Food Connectors Company (IFC) in the city of Rotterdam, Netherlands. This is one of the top 3 enterprises in the Netherlands specializing in the field of trade and food import and export, with a revenue of USD100 billion in 2022. The two sides openly exchanged potentials and strengths, and looked towards the prospect of long-term investment cooperation in the future. Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang invited the company's leaders to visit and learn about investment cooperation opportunities in Bac Ninh./.
