Bac Ninh province launches online shopping and cashless payments

Speaking at the event, Mr. Dao Quang Khai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that the launching of online shopping and cashless payments is one of activities in response to National Digital Transformation Day, affirming the importance of digital transformation for the socio-economic development of the country and Bac Ninh province.

According to a report from the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, almost all enterprises in the province have applied e-commerce in production and business activities, and use cashless payment methods through intermediary financial units such as bank transfer, QR code scanning. 100% of supermarkets, shopping malls, convenience stores, service stores and fixed traders in markets all use cashless payment methods. 100% of electricity, water, telecommunications and television service providers have paid fees and quoted fees via electronic means. These results significantly contribute to the local digital transformation work, and promote the digital economy development in the province.

At the event, Mr. Khai and leaders of departments and sectors pressed the button to start the event and visited booths of online shopping and cashless payments.

On April 22, 2022, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 505/QĐ-TTg on annual National Digital Transformation Day on October 10./.
