Bac Ninh sees USD21 billion in export turnover

In the first 6 months of 2022, the total import and export turnover of goods in Bac Ninh province compared to the same period last year increased by 13.3%.

Bac Ninh reported a trade surplus in the first 6 months of 2022, in which, export turnover of goods was estimated at more than USD21 billion, up 9% over the same period last year. Import turnover of goods was estimated at more than USD19.5 billion, up 18.3% over the same period last year.

Generally in the first 6 months of 2022, the trade balance of goods was estimated to have a trade surplus of USD1.5 billion, equal to 6.9% of export turnover.

In addition, in the first 6 months of the year, Bac Ninh Province also ranked second in the country in terms of GRDP growth rate, with an estimated growth of 14.7%, the highest increase in the past 4 years.

In which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector decreased by 1.22% from the same period last year. The industry - construction sector had a high growth rate of 15.4%, contributing 11.92 percentage points to the growth rate of total added value. The service sector had outstanding growth compared to the same period last year, up 18.14%.

The economic structure continued to shift towards increasing the proportion of industry, construction and services. Specifically, the industry and construction sector accounted for 75.71%; services accounted for 17.76%; and agriculture, forestry and fishery accounted for 2.87%./.
