All eight Vietnamese students joining the 2021 Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) have won prizes.

Nguyen Dac Tien from the Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted of Bac Ninh province participated in the competition and received certificates of merit.
Previously, Tien won the first prize in the National Competition for Excellent Students in Physics for the 2020-2021 school year and was one of three candidates from Bac Ninh selected to join the Asian Physics Olympiad team in 2021.
Hosted by Taiwan (China), the online competition drew 23 delegations with 181 contestants. The Vietnamese team included 8 students from High schools for Gifted nationwide, among which 06 candidates brought home 02 Gold medals, 01 Silver medal, 03 Bronze medals and 02 candidates received certificates of merit./.
