Customs supports import and export procedures for businesses investing in Bac Ninh

Over the past few years, the cooperation between Bac Ninh Department of Customs and the provincial Management Board of Industrial Zones has promoted the roles and functions of each unit in the effective management and support of the enterprise community in realizing investment, production and business activities.

Mr. Tran Duc Hung, Head of the Bac Ninh Department of Customs, said that aiming at methodical coordination activities, the signing of the Regulations will be an important turning point, creating new development in the working relationship between the two agencies in the current period.

The Regulation aims to create a specific corridor and coordination mechanism, with a clear focal point and method of exchanging information, making each unit more convenient and proactive in their work.

The Bac Ninh Department of Customs will provide timely support and advice on import and export procedures for businesses, helping them reduce time when learning policies and regulations on investment, regulations on customs procedures for commodities imports and exports.

Currently, the number of enterprises carrying out import and export procedures under the management of the Bac Ninh Department of Customs is 4,188 enterprises. Among them, there are some very large-scale enterprises belonging to the system of multinational corporations such as: Samsung, Canon, Amkor, Goertek, Foxconn, and Luxshare.

In 2021, Bac Ninh’s import-export turnover totalled 163 billion USD. From the beginning of the year to October 26, 2022, the total turnover reached 148.61 billion USD and it continued to maintain the leading position among the Customs units nationwide./.
