Activities to mark 50 years of Quang Ninh province

On October 13, in Hanoi, the Organizing Board for the 50^th anniversary of Quang Ninh province held a press briefing about activities on the anniversary.

Accordingly, the anniversary will take place at 8pm on October 19 at Oct. 30 square in Ha Long city and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and the provincial Television and Radio. All preparations for the anniversary have been completed.The meeting will draw the participation of more than 2,400 people from armed forces, provincial departments, committees and agencies, youth unions and local people, and 500 artists, models, actors and actresses.

There will be an exhibition about the province's 50 years, an international marathon, the 18^th Vietnam film festival and art performances.

According to Vu Thi Thu Thuy, vice chairwoman of Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee and deputy head of the anniversary’s organizing board, the anniversary will be a great political and cultural activity of the party, authority and people in the province. This will be also an opportunity for the province to popularize its people and land, potential and strength, and investment policies. She expressed her hope that press agencies will provide information about the province and the anniversary, contributing to the common success of the province./.
