Contest on works about Quang Ninh province reviewed

On October 13, a ceremony was held at Quang Ninh provincial library to review the contest on creating literature, art and press works about Quang Ninh province, to mark the 50^th anniversary of the province (Oct. 30, 1963 – Oct. 30, 2013).

The contest is an opportunity for people to review the glorious revolutionary tradition of the party cell, authority and people in the province over the past 50 years; highlight great achievements made by local people and soldiers in the cause of national construction and defence; and affirm the provincial position and determination for provincial development.

The contest drew more than 210,000 written entries, nearly 800 literature and arts works, nearly 400 press entries.

The outstanding work consists of seven volumes, 1963 pages and appendix of 1963 photos collected by a group from the Institute of People’s Security.

The organizing board presented one special prize, 22 A prizes, 40 B prizes, 49 C prizes and 54 consolidation prizes to works; and presented certificates of merit to groups who made great contribution to the contest./.
