Quang Ninh provincial museum attracts many tourists

Over more than half a month since its inauguration, Quang Ninh provincial museum and library has welcomed over twelve thousand visitors, equal to the number of tourists to the old Quang Ninh provincial museum in a year in the 2008-2012 period.

According to Tran Trong Ha, director of Quang Ninh provincial museum, the museum is open from 9am to 11:20am and 2pm to 6pm every day. However, when tourist delegations schedule to pay visit to the museum, it can stay open all day.

The museum was built with an investment of VND900 billion to mark the 50^th founding anniversary of the province.

Visitors to the museum can admire the huge whale bone and learn about the Quang Ninh provincial coal sector. There is also a showroom for children, allowing children to directly touch objects for discovery.

At present, the museum is open for visitors at no charge. The museum is expected to be an interesting place for domestic and foreign tourists to study specific features about Quang Ninh province./.
