Quang Ninh Sports Festival 2016 to open on March 10th

Accordingly, the opening ceremony (to be broadcast live on Quang Ninh radio and television) will be held on the morning of March 10th, while the closing ceremony is set to begin in the afternoon of March 13th, at the Ha Long city-based provincial sports and physical training center.

The provincial sports and physical training center will host the final matches of the men’s football (elementary level) and women’s football (high school level), the final match of the men’s football (secondary school level) will kick off at Ha Long city artificial playing ground, and Cam Pha stadium will host the final match of the men’s football (high school level).

So far, 8/14 districts/towns and cities in the province have concluded Sports Festivals, and authorities in the six remaining plan to organize festivals at the end of February. Eight of ten events have finished, attracting hundreds of local athletes.

The event is among activities celebrating the success of the 12th National Party Congress, and marking the 5th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26th), and the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Sports Day (March 27th)./.
