2016 Ha Long Cherry Blossom Festival to open

(CPV) - Vice Chairman of Ha Long city People’s Committee Vu Hong Son said on March 3rd that the 2016 Ha Long Cherry Blossom Festival, titled “Integration - Cooperation and Development”, will take place on March 18th at 30/10 Square in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province.

The event will include a variety of activities such as introducing the cherry blossom flower, a workshop on promoting attractive tourism products of Japan and Quang Ninh province, and music shows performed by artists from Japan and Quang Ninh.
40 stalls will showcase and introduce tourist products, food, apparel and household appliances, among others of Vietnam and Japan at the event.
Besides, a Vietnam - Japan artistic and cultural exchange between famous artists from the two countries will also be organized.
The 4th edition of the annual festival aims to promote cultural relations and friendship between Quang Ninh and Japan. In addition, it is to boost trade and tourism between Vietnamese and Japanese firms, and between Quang Ninh and Japanese localities in particular.
The event is hoped to attract hundreds of thousands of domestic and international visitors. As scheduled, the 2016 Ha Long Cherry Blossom Festival will run until March 21st./.
