Exhibition on Vietnam - Cambodia relations in Phnom Penh

Nearly 300 photos and more than 100 documents on Vietnam - Cambodia relations are on display at an exhibition which opened in Phnom Penh on December 18th.

The exhibition is being held to celebrate 50 years of Vietnam-Cambodia relations, and promote the bilateral friendship and cooperation and mutual understanding.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Hoang Vinh Bao said that the event contributed to bringing spiritual sustenance, remind overseas Vietnamese of their national origins and introduce Vietnam’s land to the Cambodian people.

This was also an event to introduce the relationship in politics, economics, culture and diplomacy since Vietnam and Cambodia established diplomatic ties in 1967.

Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Art Khim Sarith said that over the past year, the two countries have coordinated to organize many events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam - Cambodia diplomatic ties, contributing to promote connection and exchange between the people of the two countries.

The exhibition will run until the end of December 19th./.
