Bai Choi singing introduced at schools in Thua Thien - Hue province

Bai Choi singing will be introduced at schools in the central province of Thua Thien - Hue as one specific objective of the project on preserving and promoting the arts in the 2019-2023 period.

The project has been approved by Thua Thien - Hue provincial People’s Committee on November 19th to build an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity and meeting people’s demand for cultural enjoyment.
The locality will focus on completing specific objectives such as researching, finishing and digitalizing a database on the art; promulgating policies on the preservation and promotion of the arts, especially bringing the arts into schools and maintaining Bai Choi singing clubs in localities.
The province will consider establishing new clubs to improve spiritual and cultural life of people and serve tourists; organize performances at Hue festivals, Hue traditional village festival and others; provide training courses for artists and artisans; compile publications on the arts; honour outstanding artisans who make contribution to the preservation and promotion of the arts.
The project has an investment of VND1.3 billion from the State budget, socialization and other legal sources./.
