Thua Thien Hue: VND10 billion to preserve Bao Vinh ancient quarter

The central Thua Thien Hue provincial People's Committee has agreed to provide a budget of about VND10 billion to implement the project of preserving the ancient houses and urban design project of Bao Vinh ancient quarter.

The provincial People's Committee asked the Department of Construction to support, provide information and guide Huong Tra town People's Committee to evaluate the implementation of the plan on conservation, preservation and promotion of the value of Bao Vinh ancient quarter which was approved by the provincial People's Committee in 2003.
As scheduled, ancient houses will be preserved in order to promote the value of Hue traditional houses, and to put them into exploitation for tourism.
Bao Vinh ancient quarter in Huong Vinh commune, Huong Tra town, is located about 3 km from the center of Hue city. It is a valuable part of Hue cultural heritage. According to the Prime Minister's decision on the master plan of Hue city to 2020, Bao Vinh old quarter belongs to two of the three areas in need of conservation./.
