A delegation including 76 Vietnamese soldiers join search, rescue efforts in Turkey

A delegation of the Vietnam People’s Army, including 76 soldiers who bring with them six service dogs, arrived in Antakya city of Turkey’s Hatay province on February 13 evening (local time), to join search and rescue activities for earthquake-hit victims, reported VNA.

At the airport, the delegation talked to representatives from the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority to learn about the needs of the host country.

Earlier, a 24-member team of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security engaged in search and rescue efforts in the Turkish southeastern city of Adiyaman, which is among the localities bearing the brunt of the earthquake, after they arrived in Istanbul International Airport on February 10.

As of 9pm on February 13 (Vietnam time), the deadly disaster had killed more than 37,000 people in not only Turkey but also Syria. 

According to the Vietnamese embassies in Turkey and Syria, so far, there was no information on Vietnamese citizens dead or injured in the disaster.

Vietnam Airlines resumes Hanoi-Kuala Lumpur route

Vietnam Airlines has officially resumed the Hanoi – Kuala Lumpur route with four flights a week on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

On this occasion, the national flag carrier has launched a promotion with tickets costing only from 4,644,000 VND (nearly 197 USD) for a round trip (taxes and fees included) on this route, reported VNA.

Preferential tickets are being offered from now to March 26, 2023. Passengers can buy tickets on the airline's website, mobile application, official ticket offices, and agents of Vietnam Airlines nationwide.

The airline is currently operating 11 flights per week on the Ho Chi Minh City - Kuala Lumpur route. The restoration of the route from Hanoi to Kuala Lumpur will complete the aviation links between Vietnam and Malaysia.

Passengers arriving in Malaysia now no longer need to present vaccination status certification or COVID-19 test certificate.

In 2019 before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam Airlines served more than 220,000 passengers between Vietnam and Malaysia.

Since Vietnam reopened its border, Vietnam Airlines has resumed most of its international routes with more than 600 flights per week, equivalent to 70% of the pre-pandemic level.

Ha Long Bay proves ideal wedding venue for Indian billionaire couple

According to VOV, an Indian billionaire couple enjoyed a one-week luxurious wedding in Ha Long Bay, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and popular travel destination in the northern province of Quang Ninh, inviting as many as 412 guests to attend the event.

The identities of the Indian billionaires have not been revealed.

The couple tied the knot onboard the five-star cruise ship Ambassador Day Cruise II in a seven-day wedding ceremony which lasted from February 5.

Around 100 Indian event staff and chefs, along with two tonnes of materials, costumes, and props, were moved from India to Quang Ninh province to prepare for the lavish wedding ceremony.

This marks the first large-scale wedding that Indian billionaires have chosen to hold in Ha Long Bay. This comes after a five-day wedding ceremony was held on January 24 for one Indian billionaire family, featuring the participation of 350 guests, in the central city of Da Nang.

In late November, 2019, an Indian billionaire family hosted a wedding party lasting four days for their daughter in Da Nang with more than 600 guests.

In March, 2019, an Indian billionaire couple got married on Phu Quoc island amid the presence of about 700 guests./.
