Da Nang sets up friendly and comprehensive cooperative relationship with Czech city

During an online meeting, the two sides discussed areas for cooperation, including tourism, high technology and information technology.

Da Nang currently has many strengths in developing information technology and high technology, as well as tourism, similar to Brno city.

Representative from Brno city, Mr. Ivo Bednar, Head of the External Relations of the city, said that Brno city is a hub for technology and higher education, one of the biggest fair locations in Eastern Europe, and the leading tourist destination in the Czech Republic. With such strengths, Mr. Ivo Bednar expressed his belief that the establishment of a partnership would create conditions for the two cities to increase exchange and learn from each other for mutual development.

Under the active support of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic and the Vietnamese Association in Brno and the South Morava region, the relationship between Da Nang city and its Czech partners has created opportunities for links and development, especially after the business trip of the leaders of Da Nang city to the Czech Republic in 2019.

The cooperation deal aims to promote special friendly relations between the people of the two cities and open opportunities for cooperation in investment, tourism and high-quality services associated with resort real estate; high-tech industries associated with innovative urban construction; and education and exhibition on the information technology, electronics and telecommunications industries associated with the digital economy.

This was also a special event on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. For Da Nang, the signing of this deal helped enhance the friendship and cooperation with Brno city to soon become twinned cities./.
