Lao leaders suggested the two sides continue to closely coordinate and enhance the exchange of theoretical and practical issues of cooperation in training cadres, especially in the training of successive cadres at all levels of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party; sharing information and experiences in Party building, contributing to implementing the Resolutions of the Congress of each Party; closely coordinating to organize practical, meaningful activities with profound, relevant and pervasive contents to celebrate the Vietnam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year in 2022.

The Lao Party General Secretary and President said that he always follows the development situation in Vietnam and believes in the success of Vietnam despite the complicated situation of COVID-19, as well as the complicated situation in the world and the region. He also thanked Vietnam for its close attention and valuable help to Laos in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.

He suggested the two countries strengthen the multi-faceted cooperation, especially improving the efficiency of economic, trade and investment cooperation; attracting large Vietnamese corporations to invest in Laos, for economic cooperation commensurate with political and security cooperation; and boosting cooperation between the two Commissions on Popularization and Education in disseminating the relations of the two countries, in order to educate and raise awareness of the people of the two countries about the relationship of special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, especially the younger generation.

Lao National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane thanked Vietnam for its aid to Laos for the new National Assembly Building, evaluating it as a historic work with four best features, including "the most modern, the most harmonious with the national identity, the most solid, and the greatest investment value”.

He pledged that the country will use and manage the building most effectively to show his appreciation for Vietnam's valuable help; and at the same time, will promote cooperation between the two National Assemblies and coordinate with the National Assembly of Vietnam in multilateral mechanisms.

Leaders of the Lao Party and State said they would direct the relevant departments, ministries and branches of Laos to pay attention to the historical relics and symbols of the relations of the two countries, such as the Western Truong Son relic and the Ho Chi Minh Trail, considering this as a symbol and a living proof of the solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

According to Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, General Chansamone Chanyalath, the Lao Ministry of National Defence and Vietnamese authorized agencies are working together to develop a documentary film on the historical relics./.
