The year 2024 marks the 6th year of the cultural and educational exchange program between Hanoi and Fukuoka (Japan). Five schools in Hanoi are participating in this exchange and cooperation activity, including Viet Duc High School, Tran Phu High School, Phan Dinh Phung High School, Newton Middle and High School, and Phenikaa Middle and High School.
As part of the program, 49 students from Fukuoka Prefecture (Japan) will be hosted by Vietnamese students' families to live, exchange, and experience life from now until August 9.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hanoi Director of the Department of Education and Training, Tran The Cuong, stated that the cultural and educational exchange program between Hanoi and Fukuoka aims to strengthen the cooperative and friendly relationship between the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the Fukuoka Prefecture Private Education Association (Japan), promote foreign relations, and deepen the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
The activity also helps both sides share information and experiences in education management and teaching, particularly in Vietnamese and Japanese languages; helps Japanese students understand and love Vietnam more, and promotes the image of Hanoi and Vietnam to international friends.
"In the context of increasingly deepening exchanges between the people of Vietnam and Japan, the program will further enhance mutual understanding and the friendly relationship between the people of Vietnam and Japan in general, and the close ties between students and schools in Hanoi and Fukuoka in particular," emphasized Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.
Representatives of the Fukuoka high school student delegation shared that this visit and exchange program in Hanoi is an opportunity for Japanese students to learn about Vietnamese culture, including its culinary culture. This useful activity contributes to enhancing cultural exchange between students of the two cities and provides an opportunity for Fukuoka teachers to visit schools in Hanoi to learn about and study advances in the Vietnamese education system./.
