The districts of Dong Anh, Gia Lam, Thanh Tri and Hoai Duc have submitted their documents for recognition as advanced new rural areas.

Additionally, Thanh Oai District has completed its documentation and submitted it to the city's Steering Committee for National Target Programs. The districts of Thuong Tin and Dan Phuong are in the process of finalizing their assessment reports as per regulations.

At the commune level, all of the 382 communes have met the new rural area standards, 188 communes have achieved advanced new rural status, and 76 have been recognized as exemplary new rural areas.

Hanoi has successfully met or nearly completed all eight targets for the new rural development initiative. Over the past nine months, the city has mobilized over VND26,640 billion to implement the new rural development program. Of this amount, 35.2% came from the city’s budget, 57.9% from district budgets, 1.7% from commune budgets, and 5.2% from non-governmental funds.

Recently, Typhoon No. 3 and subsequent floods caused significant damage to people and property. The city government has decided to allocate more than VND220 billion to assist districts, towns, and other units in recovering from the storm and floods, with an additional VND2,350 billion earmarked for support policies and production recovery in the near future./.
