The investment and construction project of Hanoi Children's Hospital (Phase 1) expects that the construction and installation packages for technical infrastructure outside the building, as well as the provision and installation of equipment for the main building, will be completed by August 20, 2024. The project will be inspected, finalized and handed over in September 2024. The Hanoi Children's Hospital is scheduled to be inaugurated and officially put into operation on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

Commending and highly appreciating the efforts of the Project Management Board for the construction of civil projects in the city, the relevant departments, Ha Dong District, and the contractor Vinaconex, Chairman Tran Sy Thanh urged the units to ensure the highest level of completion both inside and outside the hospital premises. “It is necessary to review and reschedule the project. In special cases, a special approach must be adopted to ensure the project’s progress,” he said.

The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee also called for heightened responsibility from leaders, with a collective determination to inaugurate the project on the 70th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day. He also emphasized the importance of the competence and capability of the medical staff to ensure the best healthcare services for the people, maintaining clean air, supplying clean water, and managing wastewater for the hospital. Additionally, he stressed the need to ensure security, safety, urban order, and to continue the socialization in improving the hospital’s infrastructure and facilities.

For the pilot urban railway project in Hanoi, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section, Chairman Tran Sy Thanh highly appreciated the Ministry of Construction, the State Acceptance Council, the investor, and the contractor for their active cooperation to ensure the overhead section of the project is operationally ready.

Drawing from the experience of operating the Cat Linh - Ha Dong elevated railway line, the Chairman urged efforts to commence commercial operations of the elevated section in early August 2024, allowing citizens to experience and develop new habits and approaches to large-scale passenger transport in the area.

Emphasizing the importance of the comprehensive plan for developing the urban railway system of the capital, which is being submitted to the authorities, Tran Sy Thanh stated that the project is an opportunity to access international technology, accumulate practical knowledge for the staff and engineers to enhance their skills and experience. This will ensure that the city will have a team of experts in building large-scale transportation projects in the future and train human resources for the sector at local universities./.
